Winter Maintenance Knowledge Assessment:
Discover what your employees know about winter maintenance - and what they don't know.

All organizations use formal or informal training programs to teach employees the knowledge and skills they need to excel at their jobs. However, few organizations use tools to evaluate what employees learn and retain. AIT knowledge assessments offer a new dimension for training programs, the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training on individual and organizational levels. With knowledge assessments, training coordinators can identify the strengths of training programs and discover improvement opportunities.

When you discover what your employees know about your agency's winter maintenance program, you will know where to focus training efforts. Assessments reveal important information about individual and group knowledge. AIT assessments will show you how knowledge is distributed in your organization by each job classification and by sub-organizations like district, area, and crew. Three areas are identified for each group and sub-group:

• Strengthen areas - where knowledge of concepts is consistent with accepted practice and policy and is uniform throughout the organization.
• Improvement areas - where knowledge of concepts is consistent with accepted practice and policy but is not uniform throughout the organization.
• Emphasis areas - where knowledge of concepts is not consistent with accepted practice or policy.

Get great results from your training with AIT knowledge assessments!
